The Laskey Protege is a Laskey Lover’s Beginner Mouthpiece. The rim has the traditional Laskey contour with a defined edge giving you crisp articulations. The rim size is right in the middle of the road so that young players can grow with the mouthpiece for several years. The bore, cup, and body contour provide a clear and versatile tone. I am blown away by the quality of Laskey's Protege beginning horn mouthpiece! It features a larger inner diameter (17.75) giving students' lips more room to vibrate, great flexibility across the range, a cushioning rim, and a full, resonant tone - all at a more affordable price point. When advanced students make the upgrade to a professional mouthpiece, moving to Laskey's G line will be an easy transition. This will be my go to recommendation for every beginning and intermediate student in my studio!

Most products receive a 15-day return policy that starts on the day the customer receives their order. The customer is responsible for the cost of initial and return shipping, except in the case of new French horns, trumpets, and trombones, which will receive free return shipping from 48 US states. There will be a $5 cleaning fee for each returned mouthpiece.

Some product categories are ineligible for return, which include special orders, sheet music, consumables such as lubricants or cleaning snakes, and personal items such as clothing or face masks.

For non-US customers, shipping, taxes, duties, and customs fees are non-refundable.
