While having a shape and feel similar to a 'Rittich' style mute, the #45 produces an even, rich sound throughout your range, free-blowing and clear. Excellent for the soloist, yet suitable for the low hornist. The #45T is a tunable version of the standard #45, with an adjustable chimney that raises or lowers standing pitch.
Sylva and Betula are made from beech and birchwood, respectively. The Sylva is a lightweight resistance, weighing around 130 g, and the Betula is considered heayweight resistance, weighing 140 g. The Khaya is made entirely from mahogany with a tunable/light resistance, weighing in at around 125 g. Horn-craft Mutes are produced in the Netherlands.
