This horn has a pleasant, open sound. The action of the valves is excellent. Tone is even throughout all registers. This instrument plays well and is a great value! The Miraphone "Kruspe" model was developed to compete with a Conn 8D, so they are very similar in sound in feel. The bell is large and hand-hammered.
