Friedrich “Fritz” Carl Kruspe was apprenticed to Heinrich Gottlieb Streitwolf in Göttingen and opened a workshop in Mühlhausen, Germany about 1829. His older son, Eduard, established his own shop in 1864. The business carried his name, as Ed. Kruspe. Ed. Kruspe is believed to have built the first double horn prototype in 1897.
This gorgeous original has an “Ed. Kruspe, Erfurt, Made in Germany” stamp, and was built in the mid-1970’s. It is a pristine example of the original design that modern Kruspe-wrap horns are based on. This is your chance to own a piece of history!
