Description
The most iconic Paxman model. The first to widely popularize the Merewether system, in which air flows through both the F and Bb sides of the horn in the same direction, producing liquid-smooth slurs and minimizing any acoustic disturbance by the change valve.
Notable traits
The model 20 features independent tuning slides for both sides of the horn. The leadpipe comes standard with water key, and the thumb lever is easily configurable to stand in either F or Bb. The medium bore (M) bell throat makes for balanced and efficient projection, with maximum playability.
Good Company
Many virtuoso hornists have chosen the Paxman model 20M. Follow in the footsteps of such distinguished artists as Radovan Vlatkovich and Alessio Allegrini.
