Description
Functionally elegant and continuously refined through extensive feedback from leading professional players, the W293 European Model is even and consistent throughout all registers and dynamic ranges.
Clarity and mechanics
Articulations are clear and easy, and the small, efficient change-valve allows for liquid-smooth transitions between the F and Bb horn.
A unique variation on a classic
The European edition of the W 293 features different bell tapers for a more compact and colorful sound. “European” does not refer to the leadpipe or the mouthpiece receiver. Like the standard model W293, this horn is built to utilize a Morse tapered mouthpiece.
What we think…
“Ricco Kühn horns have always been some of my favorites. They are easy to play with an open and clear sound. The European edition of the W293 takes it up a notch by adding a bit more color and core. Overall this horn would be an excellent choice for a professional player who wishes to have an instrument that won’t be overly taxing during long sessions.”
