Introducing the Verus KX. This Knopf wrap is the definitive picture of elegance, ergonomics and functional simplicity. The bell flare is handcrafted by German master bell-maker Bernd Sandner. Aaron Brown –
I own a Verus KX and I’m very happy with it. My previous horns were Kruspe (or variations of) style wraps and the Verus KX is the first Knopf style wrap that I’ve owned. I tried a few different horns at the Houghton shop, and the KX stuck with me. I was looking for something that was 1) comfortable to hold 2) has a great sound and 3) easy to play – this horn checked all of those boxes and then some. I’m finding that I have better control in some areas now – for example I can play softer dynamics more clearly and consistently. I’m getting better intonation and consistency in the upper register. I’m also able to better tune the F side to the Bb side compared to my previous horns. I really enjoy the feel and sound of this high quality horn and I highly recommend giving it a try!
