Victoria Matthews is a horn player and educator from Fort Worth, Texas. After falling in love with the horn in high school, she decided to pursue a career in orchestral music and has since performed in venues including Carnegie Hall, The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, and the Teatro Gran Rex in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Ms. Matthews studied horn with Karen Houghton before pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree from Texas Christian University, where she studied with Heather Test. Victoria then went on to complete her Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music as a student of Michelle Baker.
For more than seven years, Victoria has taught horn to music students of ages ranging from beginners to high school seniors. She has a deep passion and respect for music that she loves to instill in her students, and she credits her teachers for doing the same.
Victoria currently teaches privately in Lewisville ISD and is a regular freelancer in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She lives in Lewisville with her two Cocker Spaniels, Chuffy and Barmy.
