This horn is F/Bb/F-alto. The W 393 X is one of the best balanced triple horns available. There is excellent tone in the high range, it does not have too thin of a sound on the F-alto side.
Playing the F/Bb part is like playing a double horn. You won't feel a difference! In the low range, the F side has a powerful sound, which is at least comparable with high end double horns. All in all the W 393 X is a model with a great, secure tone and is an excellent triple horn.
