Dieter Otto
Serial numbers are located on the underside of the 2nd rotor. Often, the last digit is hidden under the stop arm, but can be seen when the 2nd rotor lever is pressed.
They are normally 4 digits long, and follow this format:
- 1st and 2nd Digit: Sequence of Production
- 3rd and 4th Digit: Year made
Please note, the last 2 digits will always be the year made. For earlier models, or a year when production output is under 10 instruments, the serial number may be 3 digits. A high production year, in the triple digits, may have a 5 digit serial number.
Example: #3726 was the 37th horn made in 2026. The last digit #6 is hidden under the stop arm.
