Robinson's Remedies makes a handful of lip and skin products, and the names can blur together. Here's a quick rundown of what each one is for so you can grab the right one.
- Dry, chapped lips day to day? Lip Quench
- Want to last longer while you play? Lip Renew Endurance Cream
- Lips tired or puffy after a long session? Lip Renew Recovery Stick
- Prone to cold sores? Lip Repair Lightning Stick
Lip Quench
Lip Quench is an everyday wax-free lip balm for dry or chapped lips. It soaks in instead of sitting on top, so you can use it throughout the day without it getting in the way of your playing.
Lip Renew Endurance Cream
Endurance Cream is the one you put on before and during playing. It's made to help with lip fatigue and swelling through long rehearsals and gigs, and it absorbs fast so there's nothing to wipe off before you pick up your instrument. The 7.5 g tube has a slant tip that fits easily in a case pocket, and the 15 g size comes in an airless pump.
Lip Renew Recovery Stick
The Recovery Stick is for after you play, once a long rehearsal, concert, or marching band day is done and your lips feel tired or puffy. It's meant to pair with the Endurance Cream: one before, one after.
Lip Repair Lightning Stick
The Lightning Stick was made for players who get cold sores, since a flare-up can keep you off your instrument for days. It's a wax-free balm you can use every day and keep using during an outbreak to keep the area soothed and moisturized.
Also from Robinson's Remedies
Reed Renew is for woodwind players. You brush a little onto natural cane reeds after playing to keep them from drying out and cracking, so they last longer.
Skin Repair is a wax-free botanical cream for everything besides your lips: dry or cracked hands, minor scrapes, bug bites, and everyday skin irritation.
We don't carry these two in the shop right now, but they're available directly from Robinson's Remedies.
