When trying to use this swab, I inserted the beaded end through the lead pipe, as directed. But I could not get the end to emerge from the other end, where the tuning slide goes. No amount of twisting, shaking, and turning would get it to emerge. It just got bunched up inside. In the end, the only solution I could come up with was to insert a very thin wire through the opposite and, and then fasten this to the bead. Then I pulled the wire back through the tuning slide end. That worked, but one shouldn't have to do that!
Soft microfiber swab with high absorption capacity to clean the inside of the lead pipe. Machine washable. Made in France.

The BG France Microfiber Lead Pipe Swab for French Horn is specifically designed to absorb moisture clinging to the interior walls of a horn leadpipe. When it is pulled through your leadpipe, it efficiently and effectively leaves your leadpipe almost completely dry - so moisture WILL NOT COLLECT INSIDE YOUR CASE - which is not a good thing.
