The new JSV Foundation Series is a no-frills take on the tremendously popular JSV Signature models, offering the same cup and rim dimensions in a fully silver or gold plated mouthpiece. A more conventional look and a lower price point for great value.
This project was the result of a collaboration with renowned artist John Sebastian Vera, Principal Trombone of the Pittsburgh Opera and River City Brass Band, professor at Duquesne University and the Cleveland Institute of Music, and founder of the Trombone Retreat.

The ConceptWith a design that is both classic and modern, Verus JSV Signature tenor trombone mouthpieces give life to a true tenor voice with purity of sound, lightning response, and clarity of articulation. Amid a steady trend toward heavier mouthpieces in recent years, the lighter and leaner JSV models aim to preserve depth of sound and rich overtones, with sweetness and ring throughout the entire dynamic spectrum.
Something for EveryoneAvailable in two distinct variants, the JSV 1 and JSV 2 models are identical in rim and cup depth. The JSV 1 is excellent for all solo, chamber, and orchestral applications. The JSV 2 has a larger and heavier external cup profile, which many players will value for specific repertoire and acoustics. The weight adds even more fundamental, core and warmth to the sound. Having both models on-hand can give any player security to cover the full range of repertoire with a sense of purpose, balance, and adaptability.
ClockingThe classic Verus logo was added at the base of the shank for clocking purposes, allowing for precision and consistency in mouthpiece placement and adjustment.
