This is one of the most affordable German-made horns in the country. Compensating double horns play in same note range as a standard double horn, but benefit from a lighter construction due to less tubing. Combined with the thicker metal used on this horn, it would be best suited for a beginning musician or amateur player on a budget.

Although it has been worn and repaired over the years, it does play and underwent a basic reoiling and inspection by our shop. They noted that the compression readings may raise after a cleaning, and the horn may require repairs for best performance. We recommend only being serviced by a shop or technician you trust. As-Is instruments are not eligible for return or warranty.

Most products sold in the United States receive a 15-day return policy that starts on the day the customer receives their order. The customer is responsible for the cost of initial and return shipping, except in the case of new French horns, trumpets, and trombones, which will receive free return shipping from 48 US states. There will be a $5 cleaning fee for each returned mouthpiece.

Some product categories are ineligible for return, which include special orders, sheet music, consumables such as lubricants or cleaning snakes, and personal items such as clothing or face masks.
