Versus the new LDx5 Anniversary "Rhenish" model from Houghton Horns, this is the standard Anniversary model, where the leadpipe, bell tail, and first branch are braced versus hand-soldered directly to the instrument. This produces a different response and tone, and a slightly larger grip in the hand.

The Anniversary model has a slightly different conical course of the bell tail and the 1st bell branch, modeled after the tapers of the CF Schmidt, with similarities to other custom makers. The sound has an earlier edge and is very sustainable.
