The next generation 6/4 tuba has arrived! Years of research into the famous York orchestral CC tubas played by Arnold Jacobs went into the development of this model, resulting in a 6/4-size CC tuba that captures the unique tonal depth and flexibility of those legendary vintage instruments while meeting the demands of the modern tubist. Its yellow brass construction, 20-inch bell, and graduated .750"–.850" bore produce a broad, resonant sound with impressive presence.

Four front-action Monel piston valves and a fifth rotary valve provide smooth, responsive action throughout the instrument’s range. Despite its large 6/4 design, the EBC836S remains remarkably versatile, making it equally at home on stage with a symphony orchestra or concert band, in the pit of an opera or ballet orchestra, and is nimble enough to play in small chamber ensembles. Includes a premium Laskey 30H mouthpiece and Deluxe case with wheel. Perfect for the university student to professional musician.
