The 3C is one of the most popular trumpet mouthpieces Bach makes, and it's the mouthpiece Bach includes with its Stradivarius trumpets. It's a step larger than the 5C and 7C, with a medium cup that balances a full sound with good control and endurance.
Reading Bach mouthpiece sizes
- The number tells you the rim diameter. Lower numbers are larger, so a 1 1/4C is bigger than a 3C, which is bigger than a 5C or 7C.
- The letter tells you the cup depth. C is Bach's medium cup and the most popular all-around choice.
No two players have the same lips or teeth, so the right size is personal. If you're not sure, we're happy to help you choose.
