The 7C is the mouthpiece Bach includes with many of its student and intermediate trumpets, and it's a trusted starting point for players at every level. Its smaller rim and medium cup make it comfortable and easy to control, especially for younger players or anyone building endurance.
Reading Bach mouthpiece sizes
- The number tells you the rim diameter. Lower numbers are larger, so a 1 1/4C is bigger than a 3C, which is bigger than a 5C or 7C.
- The letter tells you the cup depth. C is Bach's medium cup and the most popular all-around choice.
No two players have the same lips or teeth, so the right size is personal. If you're not sure, we're happy to help you choose.
