Houghton Horns highly recommends keeping your mouthpiece in a pouch or separate compartment instead of leaving it rattling around inside the case, where it can damage your instrument. Even if the case has a dedicated slot for a mouthpiece, we have seen them come loose and dent horns.
Houghton Horns normally orders these pouches without hook-and-loop material on the back. That is separate from the closure: the pouch still closes with hook-and-loop fastening, but the standard back is not configured to attach to the interior of a case. You can special order a pouch with the hook-and-loop material on the back at no extra charge.
