Symphonic Works: Complete Trumpet Parts, Volume III gathers the trumpet parts from Gustav Mahler's Symphonies Nos. 7, 8, and 9, the Adagio from Symphony No. 10, and Das Lied von der Erde. Edited by Michael Sachs and published by International Music Company as No. 3578, it completes the later portion of this orchestral study series.

The emphasis is on complete trumpet parts rather than isolated audition excerpts. Players can follow entries, rests, and changes of role across a movement, using the wider context to plan concentration, pacing, and recovery. For an orchestral player or an advanced student preparing repertoire, that is a different kind of study from repeating only a familiar solo passage.

The volume contains trumpet materials, not full orchestral scores. It is especially useful alongside recordings and a conductor's score when exploring how a trumpet line fits into Mahler's larger design. Only the Adagio of the unfinished Tenth Symphony is included, not a complete performing version of that symphony.

Here is Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde performed by full orchestra. This book contains only the trumpet part.
