This Conn 8D is in great overall shape, with a ton of desirable upgrades and work completed during its life. This includes a valve overhaul, lacquer removal, and the trigger was converted to string linkage. It has also been fitted with an adjustable pinky ring and flipper, greatly improving ergonomics. This horn was owned by a band director for the majority of its life, and is ready for many more years of music!
 
The serial number dates it to 1966, handmade in Conn's workshop in Elkhart. These are some of the most desirable Kruspe wraps ever made, with the original features and lighter bell construction, before Conn merged with Selmer and changed location and production. Conn has recently revamped the new Conn 8D models, to reintroduce the specifications and craftsmanship found on instruments of this era. With all of their best features, and a desirable vintage, this horn is the real deal from Elkhart for a grand less.
