This set lets a teacher walk a student through the main mouthpiece choices one at a time. Every rim threads onto every cup, so you can change a single part and let the student hear and feel the difference.

Start with rim size by putting the four H1 rims (17.25mm to 18.00mm) on the same cup. Then keep a 17.75mm rim on and switch cups. The H1 and H2 are bowl-shaped, with the H1 a little larger. The H3 is a deeper funnel/bowl cup based on the 1960s “block-letter” Farkas, and the H4 is a shallower version of it with a slightly larger bore. The H4 is also raw brass, so students can compare brass against stainless steel. The three 17.75mm rims let students compare rim shapes too, from the H1’s clean bite to the wide, flatter H2 and the Farkas-style H3.

Most products sold in the United States receive a 15-day return policy that starts on the day the customer receives their order. The customer is responsible for the cost of initial and return shipping, except in the case of new French horns, trumpets, and trombones, which will receive free return shipping from 48 US states. There will be a $5 cleaning fee for each returned mouthpiece.

Some product categories are ineligible for return, which include special orders, sheet music, consumables such as lubricants or cleaning snakes, and personal items such as clothing or face masks.

Unfortunately, as of May 12, 2025, we can no longer offer returns, exchanges, or refunds to international customers due to the tariff situation. We hope to restore international returns soon.
