The S.E. Shires Vintage Elkhart tenor trombone pairs a red-brass bell with an unsoldered bead, drawing on the character of classic mid-century Elkhart instruments. It offers a rich, warm sound with complex overtones and a wide range of tonal colors across dynamics.

The TI-taper bell, .547-inch yellow-brass handslide, and dual-bore F valve create a configuration for players seeking an expressive sound with the response and projection of a modern Shires instrument.
