They feature hand-hammered bells with a charasteristic seam pattern, hand-drawn and bent slide tubing and crooks, lightweight piston section and linkage, and minimal bracing to produce a horn that resonates freely and responds precisely. The Vienna Model
"Our instruments constitute a further development of well-tried models using state-of-the-art technology. The legendary horns by, among others, L. Uhlmann, A. Demal, and the Wiener Produktivgenossenschaft, which were played by the Vienna Horn players for decades, served as role models.
Following this tradition, and in close cooperation with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra – sincere thanks especially to Mr Wolfgang Tomböck – we succeeded in developing instruments that preserved the famous Vienna Horn sound and measure up to what is expected from a modern top-level instrument.
Thus, the double valves have been re-engineered and now, made of stainless steel, ensure precision and smooth operation which do not need to fear comparison with other valve systems.

About Jungwirth Horns
Since 1987, Jungwirth has been engaged in the reproduction of historical brass instruments. The baroque trumpets they initially produced were soon complemented by natural horns and later by Vienna horns, while their musical expertise developed alongside their skilled craftsmanship. After several relocations, their workshop was ultimately established in the Waldviertel, a region northwest of Vienna. The combination of close proximity to Vienna and the tranquility of the small village of Freischling has proven to be an ideal location for the company.
All of their employees have been trained in their own workshop, ensuring that the company's craftsmanship and traditions of historical brass instrument making are passed on to each new generation.
