The 42BOF was introduced to celebrate Bach's 100th anniversary in 2018, and it was designed with Jay Friedman, Principal Trombone of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. It has a traditional 42-style bell with bell-free bracing, which lets the bell vibrate more freely for quicker response, a clearer sound, and better projection. The European-designed open flow rotary valve makes the low register easier to play without giving up anything up top.
What sets it apart
- Open flow rotary valve: a freer feel and easier low register.
- Bell-free bracing: the bell vibrates more freely for quick response and projection.
- Traditional 42 bell and slide: the classic Bach symphonic sound.
