The A47XPS is the Peter Steiner signature model in Bach's Artisan line. It's built on the A47X, which Bach developed for more balanced resistance and better airflow through the valve section. The result is the X wrap, which gives an even feel both in and out of the valve. The Steiner model adds a detachable flare on a lightweight gold brass bell.

Other upgrades include the standard Artisan rotor with a shorter throw, a contoured rosewood thumb rest, and three interchangeable leadpipes so you can fine-tune the response.

What sets it apart

  • X wrap valve section: an even, open feel through the whole range.
  • Detachable flare, lightweight gold brass bell: Peter Steiner's signature setup.
  • Three interchangeable leadpipes: 47, 42, and 42O (open).
