This is a professional C trumpet with all the bells and whistles, pun intended! Made by the Getzen-Edwards custom workshop, it features a modular construction, so that the included 2 bells (rare factory upgrade) can be interchanged depending on your desired tone or playing style, along with 2 main tuning slides to dial in response and tambre. Is is built around some of the best valves in the business, with the premium two-piece valve casing, slides, and braces shared with Edwards models.
This specific Edwards Custom model was made alongside the Edwards Generation series, with truly custom-level features no longer offered, especially at this price from any brand. Getzen and Edwards have since reverted to standard non-modular construction for current models, splitting into 3 different models to achieve these features:
The C2 "Orchestral" bell is similar to the Bach 229 or Yamaha YS bell, with a gradual, traditional bell taper, and produces a focused and rich tone.
The C3 "Chamber" bell is similar to the Bach 239 and Yamaha YM bell, with a slightly steeper, wider bell taper, and produces a lighter and vibrant tone.
The "Standard" main tuning slide is made with a straight 0.462" bore, the standard of C trumpets.
The "Dual Bore" main tuning slide is similar to the Bach C190SL229X model, and increases response and tonal color.
