Greg Black Symphony Large Bore Tenor Trombone Mouthpieces New York 5.5
Greg Black has been making mouthpieces since 1985, carrying on the traditions of the great New York City mouthpiece makers. Today he and partner Benjamin Strickland run the shop in Mount Holly, North Carolina, where every mouthpiece is handmade. You'll find Greg Black mouthpieces in orchestras, Broadway pits, recording studios, and schools around the world.
The New York series is designed for a balanced, centered sound that's rich and full. The rim is the same within each diameter, and cup depths step in quarters from medium (GS style) to deep (4G style), so it's easy to change depth without changing how the rim feels. Each cup is designed to match its rim diameter.
Not sure which size is right for you? Schedule an in-person or Zoom mouthpiece consultation with us. We can also special order any Greg Black mouthpiece you don't see on our website.
