The Alessi Signature Series was designed with Joseph Alessi, Principal Trombone of the New York Philharmonic, and it's some of the best trombone mouthpiece engineering available today. Each rim size comes with two cups, Solo and Symphony, so you can choose the sound you're after.

The 67 is Joseph Alessi's own rim size. It's the largest in the series and offers the most room and comfort, for players who want a big, open feel.

The Solo cup is the shallower of the two. Laskey calls it the ultimate all-rounder, with a balance of throat, backbore, cup, and rim that works for solo, chamber, and section playing alike. Players who want a darker, heavier orchestral sound should look at the 67 Symphony.

  • Rim: 67, Joseph Alessi's personal size
  • Rim inner diameter: 1.051"
  • Rim outer diameter: 1.592"
  • Cup: Solo, mid-shallow
  • Throat: 0.282"
  • Backbore: 0.438"
  • Shank: Large
  • Finish: Silver-plated or gold-plated (special order)

All measurements are in inches and are approximate.

Always confirm mouthpiece fit with your instrument's manufacturer before you buy, or schedule an in-person or Zoom call with us and we'll help you verify the shank you need.

Gold-plated mouthpieces are special order only and may take several months to arrive. All gold mouthpieces are final sale, since wear shows more easily on gold and is harder to repair than on silver.
