Designed for S.E. Shires tenor trombone tuning slides, it accommodates both .547-inch large-bore and small-bore models. Compatibility with other brands depends on the diameter of the tuning-slide brace. A narrower brace may need a thin shim to hold the counterweight securely; an oversized brace cannot be accommodated.
