Very good grip and very sturdy. Fits my yamaha 671 very well and hope to get a lot of years out of it!
The Fhrap Strap is for an H200 Holton Descant horn, and it works quite well.
Using the Fhrap French Horn Holding strap on this Paxman 80L triple horn improves the ergonomics of using the thumb. When I purchased this horn, it was in Bb/F/Falto, and use of a strap wasn't necessary. However, the compensating F side of this horn is very good, so I changed the setup to F/Bb/Falto. The strap will improve my conversion from double to triple horn. Thank you!

This strap came highly recommended by my 14-year old son's french horn instructor, and he loves it!

Using it as a right hand grip when resting...and the bell is on my right leg. I don't always put the horn down in my lap when resting.
A little tricky to put on and takes some getting used to. Otherwise works great.

I'm glad your company had the Fhrap french horn holding strap. When the strap arrived, I placed on my horn as shown, inserted my fingers, and noticed that the weight of the instrument falls on my hand, and not my pinky finger. At first, I noticed the strap, but after playing for a while, I didn't notice or feel it at all. I have shared what I learned with other horn players. Thanks again! -Esther Clair

Strap was too small for my hand, and because of the materials used and for sanitary reasons, Houghton stated during the ordering process that returns would not be accepted on this item. So, it was a $35 crap shoot that I lost on. It would have been helpful if some fitting guide instructions could be posted with the item description to provide some assurance of proper fit before completing the order.

It works well enough, though it’s a bit ‘bulky’ around an 8D. Still happy with it, though 😀
as somebody with really large hands, I wish there were a way to enlarge the strap without having the friction burn from the velcro as a result. I have to keep it fully small in order to not have the velcro rubbing on my hand and that only gets about halfway up my fingers. With that said, it still really helps my endurance when playing long pieces. Thank you guys!
I gave it to one of my students and she was thrilled with how comfortable it was.
My hand would cramp from pushing on the "pinky" holder after playing my French Horn for long periods of time. With my new strap, my hand below my index finger is carrying the weight rather than the "pinky".
This handstrap is very well made and is easy to attach to the horn and to adjust for comfort.

My son was trying to hold the weight of the horn with his pinky finger. The strap allowed him to release that and have better finger placement on all of the keys. It has been great for him.
I haven't played the horn in 35 or so years and wanted to pick it up again. After struggling with this big brass thing I'm holding off the knee, I saw a few people with this strap like thing around their hand. This got me to thinking about all that weight on my pinky and such, so I bought the product, slipped it on as best as I could and voila! It has made playing the horn a bit easier by freeing the weight off of my key fingers. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!
This old arthritic left hand LOVES the relief afforded by the Fhrap! Not having to use my pinkie on the finger hook is a blessing, and the range of adjustment inherent in the Fhrap allows perfect alignment of fingers with valve levers. It's a win-win!
