Thein Brass handcrafts trumpets, trombones, and other brass instruments in Bremen, Germany. Most models are offered with a wide range of bells, leadpipes, metals, and finishes, so players can tailor the instrument to their sound.

Thein's R Model piccolo trumpet keeps the bright, warm, overtone-rich sound of its H Model and adds even more brightness and focus, which makes it easier to play. Like the H Model, it has excellent intonation in both Bb and A.

It comes with separate Bb and A leadpipes, a 4th valve trigger, and an intonation ring on the 3rd slide. A conversion set for G can be bought with the instrument and is fitted to it. Thein recommends its 1-1/2CFF or P3 mouthpiece. See the Thein mouthpiece guide for the full lineup.

Most products sold in the United States receive a 15-day return policy that starts on the day the customer receives their order. The customer is responsible for the cost of initial and return shipping, except in the case of new French horns, trumpets, and trombones, which will receive free return shipping from 48 US states. There will be a $5 cleaning fee for each returned mouthpiece.

Some product categories are ineligible for return, which include special orders, sheet music, consumables such as lubricants or cleaning snakes, and personal items such as clothing or face masks.

Unfortunately, as of May 12, 2025, we can no longer offer returns, exchanges, or refunds to international customers due to the tariff situation. We hope to restore international returns soon.
