Handmade in Germany by the Thein master craftsmen, this Bb trumpet is specially created for professional use and customization. Featuring both an interchangeable bell and leadpipe system for various playing applications, it is at home on the concert stage or recording sound room. Similar to a French bead bell, the Mainzer rim is formed using a brass/nickel silver half-wire (semicircular cross-section) that is beaded and soldered at the bell end and cut flush. This adds a good pithiness or clarity to the sound.
