Making air visible!
The VIZI-AIR™ is an airflow visualization training aid for brass instruments. This patent pending educational device was originally intended for younger students, but it has also been found effective for brass players of all ages. VIZI-AIR™ is a revolutionary device allowing the performer the opportunity to “see” their air by way of the fan blade's rotation.
For those of us concerned with what type of sound is being produced while “buzzing” on the mouthpiece, VIZI-AIR™ takes away most of the guesswork. It’s designed to show whether or not a good, air-supported vibration is occurring. If a full airstream passes through the mouthpiece, the VIZI-AIR™ will rotate. If air flow is hindered in any way, the VIZI-AIR™ will either rotate slower or not all. The player can actually see the difference and make the necessary adjustments!
Whether your goal is trying to increase air production, strengthen range stability, focus on immediate air response, or so many other issues involving airflow, VIZI-AIR™ can be a fantastic tool leading you and your students down the right path. At the very least, VIZI-AIR™ will bring more attention to the importance of air and its association with tone production.
Each VIZI-AIR™ is 3D printed, constructed of a durable carbon fiber filament. There are six different sizes to accommodate the six most common brass instruments.

Brilliant and simple device that gives me such a nice visual for how my air is moving, it's a great teaching tool and is useful in legato and articulation airflow visualization!

Really solidifies my sound and teaches me to push my air through the center of the mouthpiece and horn.

Early on my horn player was stopping his air when he tongued and his sound was tight. This device helped him keep his air flowing and opened his sound. He even got feedback that he was too loud, which was fine since he could back off after, but as a young player, more air was the best problem to have. He keeps it handy at home to continue training as his is now working in his higher register.

I teach Masterclasses at an area high school. At the beginning of the year, the kids were not moving their air in an unrestricted manner and their sounds were small and tight. I asked the school to purchase a class set and I’ve used them all year as part of their warm up. Their sounds are now much more open and free sounding!

Not an effective tool for showing a student the kind of air flow needed to play the horn. Does not come close to replacing the spirometer.

The VIZI-AIR is not a resistance tool, such as the spirometer and other great resistant products. It was specifically designed to be a step between breathing exercises and resistance training. The key function of the VIZI-AIR is to visually help improve free-flow air training so when resistance is added, the performer will feel less effort with more gain." I could ask him if he could get on a Zoom call with you to show you how he uses the product? He is a band director himself and designed the Vizi-Air for his students. Thanks for shopping with us!

I use it all the time with my middle and high school students. It is a good visualization of how they are using, or not using, their air. It is convenient to take when I coach at schools.
